Privacy policy

The short version

Your prayers are yours. We collect as little as we can, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads. Speech recognition is used only to follow along as you pray, and is never recorded.

What we store

An anonymous account. When you first open the app, an anonymous ID is created so your data can sync. No name, email, or password is required to use Speak Faith. If account sign-in is added later, this policy will be updated before it ships.

Your practice. Prayers you write, favorites, prayer completions, points and streaks, journal entries, and personal goals are stored against your anonymous ID with our database provider, Supabase, so they survive reinstalls. We do not read, analyze, or share them.

Preferences on your device. Theme choice, reminder times, and your chosen scene are stored locally on your device only.

Your voice

When you recite a prayer aloud, Speak Faith listens through your microphone — with your permission — using your device's built-in speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS). Depending on your device, that service may process audio on its provider's servers under their policies. Speak Faith itself does not record, store, or transmit audio of your prayers, and the recognized words are used only in the moment to advance the on-screen text — they are never saved.

Notifications

Prayer reminders and trial reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing about them leaves your phone, and you can turn them off in the app or your system settings.

Subscriptions

Devotional Mode purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store and validated by our subscription processor, RevenueCat, which receives your anonymous ID and purchase receipts — nothing more. We never see your payment details.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads or embed advertising SDKs. We don't run analytics that identify you personally. We don't share your prayers or journal entries with anyone.

Children

Speak Faith is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Deleting your data

Email us at Kyle@zerodaysystems.co and we will delete the data associated with your installation. In-app account deletion is planned alongside account sign-in.
